If anyone passes by the bustling street of Zisimopoulou Street in Glyfada, his gaze will be fixed on the renovated and brightly lit Town Cinemas. Last summer, the cinema passed into the hands of the distribution company Tanweer, which in a very short time managed to renovate the cinema both internally and externally and start the new season energetically.
From the spacious sparkling foyer to the leather detailing on the doors of the 4 theaters, nothing reminds us of the old Cinepolis except the polished marble floor. The direction of the new management of the cinema is to achieve the greatest possible comfort combined with technological advancement, which will turn a visit to the cinema into a unique experience.
A balance that is achieved in the VIP room of Town Cinemas which we present to you first.
With a capacity of 86 leather seats, the hall is characterized by the minimal decoration with discreet orange LED lights, and the brown metal materials that frame the soundproofing of the hall. Specifically, the screening room has Dolby Surround 5.1 sound whilst the other 3 screens are equipped with a 4K laser projector. Giving flawless images on the big screen, the room’s strengths are on the one hand the excellent – tangible – quality of the 3D projection, but also the power of the sound which hits the right decibels and literally vibrates the seats.
When you sit in the leather seats you will be in for a little surprise, as they are reclining, so that the viewer is in the ideal comfortable position to enjoy the screening. Also, the distance between the rows allows the audience to move comfortably, without having to crowd or get up for the person next to you to pass.
Finally, we should note that all Town Cinemas areas are wheelchair accessible.
